Diamond Beam Splitters
The broadband transparency and the high refractive index make diamond an ideal material for infrared beam splitters as required by Fourier transformed infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Diamond beam splitters can be used for high resolution spectroscopy over a wide spectral range ranging from infrared to terahertz radiation.
Key application fields include space bound astronomical spectroscopy and the infrared analysis of the earth's atmosphere.
Diamond Materials has specialized in the manufacturing of diamond beam splitters with extraordinary flat surfaces. By preparing a well-defined thickness variation (wedge) interference oscillations can be suppressed successfully.
